The Charities Aid Foundation produces a report every year that publishes an overview of charitable giving in the UK. In the 2018 report it was shown that donations via card were up 1% from 2017 with 16% of donations being given by debit or credit card, compared to 15% the year before.
More recent research compiled by Pingit has shown that over a quarter (28%) of UK consumers would rather donate to charities via mobile devices over traditional methods like cash.
