MePOS at the SHOT Show

My name is Jay Overholts, and I am a Channel Development Manager for Unique Secure.  One of my roles at Unique Secure is to work with software partners so that they can give their customers a unique, all-in-one solution POS when their application runs on our hardware platform, MePOS.  It still amazes me how often a software partner will bring me an opportunity that utilizes our solution in a way I had never imagined before.

What is MePOS?

MePOS is a modular, electronic point of sale that is tailored to meet the needs of small to enterprise  sized businesses due to the flexibility of the complete MePOS ecosystem of products.  MePOS allows our customers to switch from a desktop platform to a mobile solution in a matter of seconds, which not only enhances the customer experience, but also allows the business owner added flexibility without buying a second system.

What is SHOT Show?

SHOT Show is the largest shooting, hunting and outdoor equipment tradeshow in the United States.  Over 65,000 people attended the show this year, ranging from small dealerships, all the way up to some of the largest firearm  manufacturers in the world.

This was my first year attending the SHOT Show, and it was one of the best show experiences I have had in my career, which spans 10 years of trade show attendance.  We attended the show in coordination with our strategic partner, Celerant Technology, and presented our MePOS solution n their booth on the main floor.

Founded in 1999, Celerant Technology is a leading provider of enterprise retail management software for optimizing operations in store, online and mobile.  This is Celerant’s 14th year attending SHOT Show, and according to Director of Marketing Michele Salerno, it just keeps getting better!

“This year, we unveiled our new Ready-Made Cumulus eCommerce websites which allow dealers to easily and quickly build their websites using our pre-built website department structure, combined with our distributor integrations in which we pull the product data from multiple distributors to easily display consolidated data, with the ability to customize, on the dealer’s websites.  We also show cased our new mobile point of sale along with our new sleek mobile hardware, the MePOS Pro and MePOS Mobile, by Unique Secure.  Whether dealers are looking to bring mobility into their shops and/or range, or are looking to bring a tablet to gun shows to process sales, create purchase orders, etc- our mobile retail software with the MePOS hardware can be that on-the-go solution.”

Partnering with Celerant Technology has opened up the MePOS solution to many new customers, and that was never more evident than at the SHOT Show.  We presented the MePOS with Celerant’s leading edge software to a wide range of clients over the four day trade show.  It is always beneficial to get insight from the customers that will eventually handle the product on a day to day basis, to both get their input, and to show them how the MePOS can add value to their business.

The customer response to the MePOS at the SHOT Show was overwhelmingly positive.  Most of the attendees had never seen a solution quite like the MePOS, and several customers commented on the ability to go mobile, and how it is a game changer.  For the show customers that have a range in addition to a retail store, that flexibility allows them to use the mobile solution for scheduling, as well as transacting, without the customer having to leave the range.

SHOT Show 2019 was a customer engaging experience I will never forget.  One of the perks of my role is getting to work with a wide range of customers, to come up with a solution that helps them better run their business.  The flexibility of the MePOS solution makes it viable for both single register stores, all the way up to some of the larger stores in the industry.

I look forward to following up with all the customers we met at the show this year, and I am already looking forward to attending the show again in 2020.

Thank you!
